About Me

 Reported for active duty in the United States Navy on July 11, 1988 and, after completing basic training at Naval Recruit Training Command (NRTC) in Great Lakes, Illinois, attended Aviation Ordnance "A” school (AOA 1) at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) in Millington, Tennessee from September to December 1988. In January of 1989 reported to Attack Squadron-128 (VA-128) for A6-E Intruder FRS training at NAS Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor Washington. In May of 1989 reported for duty with Attack Squadron-35 (VA-35) aboard USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71), August 1990, USS SARATOGA (CV-60) and VA-35 deployed for Operations Desert Shield/ Desert Storm, May 6, 1992 the USS SARATOGA and VA-35 deployed again, VA-35 along with SARATOGA’s air wing flew sorties in support of United Nation (U.N.) economic sanctions against the former Republic of Yugoslavia, May of 1993 reported to Naval Air Station Oceana Weapons Department in Virginia Beach, Virginia, reported to Naval Air Station Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida in May 1996 to stand up Strike Fighter Squadron-34 (VFA-34) . After transitioning the squadron from A6-E Intruders to F/A-18C Hornets VFA-34 deployed aboard the USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER (CVN-69) on June 1998 in support of Operation Deliberate Forge over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Operation Southern Watch over Iraq. Then USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73) in June 2000 in support of Operation Deliberate Forge over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Operation Southern Watch over Iraq. reported to Strike Fighter Squadron-106(VFA-106) for F/A 18 FRS in January 2001 deployed to NAS Key West Florida and NAF El Centro to train over 200 replacement pilots in F/A-18 C/D operations. reported to Strike Fighter Squadron-131(VFA-131) in May 2005. In 2006 deployed on board the USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER (CVN-69) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Earned the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation with bronze star, Navy "E” ribbon with two “E”s,Navy Good Conduct Medal with silver star, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with bronze star, Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal with bronze star, Sea Service Ribbon with silver star, NATO Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), and Enlisted Air Warfare pin.
